Laura López Paniagua
Laura López Paniagua (Madrid, 1979).
Bachelor and Ma in Fine Arts by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, is developing her Doctoral Studies in the UCM and the Freie Universität Berlin. She has been awarded several scholarships and prizes, like
the Collaboration Grant (Ministry of Education and Culture, Spain), Assistance Grant at International Forum of Contemporary Art (ARCO, Spain), Valparaíso Scholarship, DAAD Scholarship (Germany), Mutua Madrileña
Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies in Germany (Spain), INJUVE prize (2001 and 2002), León Newspaper Prize (2007).
She has been exhibited in various occasions, mainly in Spain, of which we can highlight Dreaming to Dream (Parador Nacional de Alcalá de Henares), Reverse World
(French Embassy, Madrid), Vanitas (Caja España Cultural Foundation, León), Moleskine (Estampa, Contemporary Art Fair, Madrid). Her work is represented in entities like Paradores Nacionales, Casino de Madrid, Caja España,
Fundación Antonio Pérez or the López-Villaseñor Museum.
She has actively organised and coordinated several artistic projects and lectures with entities like Madrid Abierto (Hell is Coming/ World Ends Today,
of the artist Andreas Templin), Master of Art, Creation + Investigation, and Master in Theory and Practice of Contemporary Art (Faculty of Fine Arts, Madrid).
She collaborates with art magazines like Text (Germany), Nr- 8, 2010, or Entelequia (Spain), Nr- 11, 2007, and is co-author of publications like Monito Cadáver (Diábolo, 2006) or Tapa Roja
(Sinse Ntido, 2002). Her artistic work has been mainly published on the catalogues of the prizes in which she has been selected (Caja España Painting Prize, León Newspaper, INJUVE, etc.),
and reviewed on several on-line publications, like Europa Press, Global.com, Expreso, EcoDiario, Diario ADN, Terra Noticias, Diario Torredonjimeno, or Complutur, only on 2009.
